BIO
Not Robots! was formed with the help of a few well timed coincidences. The four members, Mike Chandler, Adrian Stinger, Ryan Eastman and Nolan Snyder, had played in and around projects with each other in the past. Somehow it all came together at the right time in the summer of 2016. What started as a jam, quickly got moving to writing original material. The band's first show, that September, was at the wedding reception of bassist, Ryan Eastman. It was a well received mix of cover songs and some early versions of future fan favorites. The group continued to write together and tried to hone their live show by playing at any available venue that would allow in the Central New York area. Set to record their debut EP in March of 2020, the band was put on hold along with the rest of the world. However in the summer of that year, they managed to record at the Big Blue North Recording Studio in Utica NY, while recording separately, quarantined from each other. The band released their self-titled debut EP in July 2021, which is available on Spotify, Itunes, Amazon Music & Bandcamp. Shortly after the release of the album, guitarist Nolan Snyder had to make a move for career and family. The band was devastated but made the decision to forge ahead as a trio temporarily. In March of 2022 Not Robots! received a Syracuse Area Music Award for Best Rock Recording of 2021, for their debut EP "Not Robots". In the late spring of 2022, a new guitarist appeared out of the wild and joined the band. Brandon Smith, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, began playing and writing with the band. Not Robots! sophomore release will be available on 10/25/24.
